AIROS Medical is thrilled to be hosting a critical clinical webinar about central lymphatics. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 9th, 12pm ET.
The webinar, entitled, “A Non-Compliant Patient or a Central Lymphatic Dysfunction?”, will be presented by renowned lymphedema therapist Leslyn Keith, as well as central lymphatics patient and advocate Kelly Bell. The discussion will be moderated by Adie MacKenzie, a lymphedema patient, trained massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist, and a clinical advisor to AIROS Medical.
This presentation will be based on the following topics:
- An outline of functions of the central lymphatics
- Identification of symptoms of central lymphatics dysfunction
- Discussion of possible treatment protocols and surgical options aimed at improving patients’ central lymphatic function and quality of life
This webinar is open to the entire public, including physicians, lymphedema therapists, and patients. Simply indicate whether you are a healthcare professional or patient on the webinar registration page.
Leslyn and Kelly presented some of these central lymphatics templates on webinars with the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) previously, and will also be presenting at the NLN’s conference in October in Philadelphia.
Webinar Presenters
Leslyn Keith, OTD, CLT
Kelly Bell, Central Lymphatic Dysfunction Patient, Lt. United States Coast Guard (Ret.)
Kelly is an ardent lymphatic dysfunction patient advocate, the North Carolina Chapter Chair for the Lymphatic Education and Research Network (LE&RN), and the founder of Veterans Fighting Lymphedema. Kelly developed lymphedema in May 2005 after a simple medical procedure damaged the lymphatics in his heart, lungs, liver, stomach, and intestines, and also blocked his thoracic duct which created inflammation all over his body. He eventually received imaging testing that led to a dysfunctional central lymphatic diagnosis – only to discover there wasn’t anyone who could treat him. He strives to make the clinicians and patients aware of the impacts of central lymphatic dysfunctions on the organs and nutrition and the need to develop treatment opportunities.
Adie MacKenzie, PTA, LMT, CLT-LANA (Moderator)

She is a Medical Massage Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Lymphedema Therapist and National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach with over 40 years of experience in massage therapy.
