Our company and our DME partners achieved many successes together in 2022! We are thrilled with the progress AIROS has made our market and with clinicians across the country.

AIROS gained may new DME partners in regions that we previously did not have any representation. We also saw the expansion of many of our DME partners, both in size but also in regional coverage.

One of our goals for the year was to add a more clinical, educational presence to benefit both our company and our partners.

Soon after the celebration of Lymphedema Awareness Month in March, which saw us present virtually to the lymphedema clinical and patient communities at the NLN’s educational event, we added two new members to our team.

Kelly Sturm, DPT, CLT-LANA, and Adrien MacKenzie, LMT, PTA, CLT-LANA, came aboard as our two clinical advisors.  Gerry Makoid, AIROS CEO and president said at the time of the hires, “AIROS has experienced substantial growth over the past few years, and this success has created an opportunity for us to bolster our clinical team and expand our offerings. Adie and Kelly will help lead our clinical education outreach programs, new product development, and research efforts.”

Since then, we have been able to leverage Kelly and Adie’s clinical advisement and connected them with our customers, colleagues, and users of our products.  They have also lent their expertise to bolster our event presence, our content in the way of patient resources, and advised our team on new product development. Stay tuned for more valuable information, knowledge, and resources from this rockstar duo in 2023!

May through November really brought a lot of patient centric resources from Kelly and Adie.  Some of our favorites included, “5 At-Home Exercises to Reduce Swelling in the Legs and Feet,” “The Role of the Massage Therapist CLT in the Continuum of Lymphedema Care in the United States,” “Top Tips for Managing Lymphedema in the Summer,” “Lymphedema and the Powerful Effects of Deep Breathing,” and a focus on Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema to honor breast cancer survivors during the month of October.

In-person events were also not in short supply this year after a brief hiatus in prior years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our team attended SAWC Spring in April, Camp WatchMe in June, SAWC Fall, AVLS, NLN, and the Great Debates in Diabetic Foot Conference in December.

“We were so happy to get back out and talk to patients, clinicians, and customers who are looking to help peole with these chronic conditions that our devices treat,” said Makoid. “I look forward to 2023 where we will continue our efforts to expand our product offerings, our patient resources, and our impact across the globe to help more and more patients with these conditions.”

Our team at AIROS is extremely grateful for our DME partners and their clinical contacts that have helped us grow and help more patients suffering from lymphatic and venous disorders.

We expect 2023 to be our best year yet and look forward to launching new products with our DME partners so that we can continue our success together.

We wish everyone a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season!
