Listen to our CEO, Gerald Makoid, discuss the AIROS Medical product line and treatment of lymphatic disorders on a top podcast for lymphedema patients and clinicians, Lymphedema Podcast.
Lymphedema Podcast is hosted by Betty Westbrook, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), physical therapist assistant, and certified mastectomy fitter. Betty is constantly researching and learning about lymphedema, and has made it one of her missions to help educate others about this chronic condition. In addition to her full time job and hosting the podcast, she also launched the first summer camp for children with Lymphedema in the United States in 2019, Camp Watchme.
Our CEO, Gerry Makoid, recently appeared on Episode 87 of the podcast. Gerry and Betty discussed a wide range of topics, including the AIROS product line, the company’s vision during the design and development process, and how lymphedema is being treated today.

One of Betty’s favorite features of the AIROS devices is the automatic vacuum function. After treatment is finished using an AIROS garment and device system, our devices engage a vacuum that sucks air out of the garment. This allows the user to get out of the garment quicker, rather than having to wait for fully inflated garments to deflate completely. This feature is available on both the AIROS 6 and AIROS 8 devices.
AIROS also recently participated in a “box unveiling” video podcast during which Betty reviews our devices and compression therapy garments. The review will include our Arm Plus garment that is utilized by patients who have been diagnosed with lymphedema in the arm, shoulder, and chest, usually after breast cancer surgery and treatment. Keep an eye out for this podcast being released soon!
